More than four years after it was originally announced, Sony's critically acclaimed racing series finally makes its handheld debut with more than 800 vehicles, over 70 track variations, and local multiplayer races in Gran Turismo. The series' dedication to realism continues, offering painstakingly re-created cars from dozens of real-world auto companies, including first-time entries from supercar manufacturers Bugatti and Lamborghini. There is No dedicated career mode, and unlike previous Gran Turismo games, cars cannot be upgraded with new parts and equipment. However, every vehicle is unlocked from the beginning of the game, and if players want to purchase the most exotic and powerful cars they must participate in a variety of races to earn the requisite credits. Gamers may purchase vehicles from four random manufacturers at any given time, with the stable of available companies, makes, and models changing every two days. Apart from the "Single Race" mode, solo players can also try out licensing-style "Drivers Challenges," while multiplayer fans can compete in three different four-person Ad-hoc modes, or simply swap garages with each other to acquire cars more quickly.
